Supercomputer Watson
At the JIQ (Computer technology day in Québec), we had the oppurtinity to do an interview with Paul Anand who is the International research executive at IBM. During the interview we talked about the supercomputer WATSON from IBM and the televised game show Jeopardy. We also asked Mr. Paul if Watson was ready to be used in government organizations.
We learned during Mr Anand's conference that many of Watson's systems were based on free and open source software such as GNU/Linux, Java, C++, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 and the Hadoop Apache server.
